The employer wishes to meet with the union to discuss “the Parties’ expectations related to the time off provisions in the grievance and arbitrations provisions.”
The union will discuss a point of clarity regarding group grievances, specifically the Union’s ability to interview employees involved in these grievances on paid time. The Collective Agreement provides a clear framework for joint assistance in the grievance procedure, and we believe the language fully supports our request for paid time for these employees.
We will also be formally requesting access to view working conditions in order to resolve a grievance.
We will be filing a grievance related to the unions right to joint assistance if these two issues are not resolved during this meeting.
