Finance Committee

Mandate: To ensure the fiscal health, transparency, and accountability of CUPE Local 1048.

The Finance Committee meets for two hours every second Thursday from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM to work alongside the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union. This committee is responsible for reviewing the Local’s financial records, assisting in the preparation and adherence of the annual budget, and ensuring that union funds are managed and allocated in strict accordance with our bylaws and the directives of the membership. Through regular oversight and internal auditing, the committee helps safeguard our resources to ensure the Union remains strong and ready to support its members.
